Brett Favre
So he finally did it? It has been years that Favre has been talking about retiring. I can honestly say I am sad to see him go. I loved watching him play football and he did so much outside of football. He seems to be an all around kind of nice guy. To bad the Packers didn't make it to the Super Bowl for his last season of playing. It would of been great to see the Packers and Patriots play. He may not have been the best quarterback to ever play football, but he is an amazing athlete that I will miss watching on Sundays.

I totally agree with you! I loved Brett Favre as a football player, quarterback, mentor, and as an all around good guy. In fact, watching his press conference, i was just about in tears. He is one of the only guys who actually loved the play of the game. He is the best player for the game! I think he is going to come back after next season...Hopefully!
It is hard not to like Brett Farve. He is just a great all around guy. He may not have been the best quarterback to ever play the game, however he is definetely the best leader that a team could ask for. He has never had a great team around him, but with his heart and dedication had many great seasons. He made all the players around him better with his inspiration and ability to play the game. I will certainly miss watching him play.
